It’s a common argument of media traditionalists that the democracy of social media is actually an ochlocracy (i.e. mob rule.) However, there’s nothing inherent in social media that shapes the ochlocracy; it’s in the way that we find social content.
Paying off the RIAA

The government has given the property rights to the recording industry. Although attempting to regain fair use rights is a noble cause, why don’t we ever look at this from the other way and pay off the RIAA to regain these rights? The economics would say that it’s a more realistic goal.
