The biggest problem with tomorrow’s Internet has little to do with improving GUIs or creating more efficient algorithms; it’s in the education and information literacy of today’s parents and tomorrow’s children.

Taking a risk, I ordered 300 custom business cards from Hong Kong-based Print100 for a conference on information theory. The little cards did more than impress my friends; they impressed an authority. It’s the best $40 I’ve ever spent.

One of my close friends purchases Nokia’s relatively-new, Cingular-based Nokia E62 smartphone. An acquaintance of mine calls me out on my own Motorola Q. When the dust settles, it has little to do with the hardware, where there’s an obvious winner. It deals with form over function, and the devil’s in the details (or lack thereof.)
