After the div overlay method, we had to use Flash to bring back in audio using an open-source music player. The end result is an entirely unrestricted MySpace player, fully independent of the MySpace bands page (for better or for worse.)

In part three of The Web Designer’s Guide to MySpace, we sit down to write a bunch of code that is certainly not standards-compliant using Derek Punsalan’s div overlay method.

Day two of the Web Designer’s Guide to MySpace focuses on information architecture: how can we build a proper MySpace profile page? What content goes on a common page? After a few quick guidelines, it’s time to wireframe.

Forced onto the MySpace social network at work, I quickly find ways around the stock profile abilities and personalise the place for myself. In the process, I created a five-day workshop in doing it to your own profile.
